Transportation Tips

Parking at the Fringe™ site is extremely limited, so car travel is not recommended!
Consider the following travel options when coming to the Fringe:

BY FOOT

Hoof it! Most venues are within walking distance. [map]


BY BIKE

View Bicycle Parking Lot locations

Edmonton Bicycle Commuters’ Society bicycle parking lots are located:

  • South of 85 th Avenue on 104 th Street (by Knox Church)
  • 104th Street / 84th Avenue (the Edmonton Public Library’s Strathcona Branch).

Come by the EBC tent at Knox Church on Fridays between 3 PM and 7 PM for free bicycle tune-ups and how-tos. Be advised that parking areas are not always monitored.

Routes # 4, 7, *52, 57 and 106 [system maps] stop along Whyte Avenue close to the Fringe site.

ETS Day Pass
[Family Travel]
Using an ETS Day Pass, a family is able to travel on ETS (bus and LRT) all day, on any one day of the week.
The cost of an ETS Day Pass is $8.55.
Up to four children (ages 12 and under) accompanied by an adult can ride ETS all day using an ETS Day Pass. ETS does not produce a specific family pass.
ETS operators do not carry change, so if you plan to pay cash, please have the correct amount.

You can catch a FREE RIDE HOME after 6 PM every day of The Fringe™ courtesy of ETS.

Catch a FREE RIDE HOME after 6 PM every day of The Fringe™ courtesy of ETS. Just show your Fringe™ Program » or your “Paid in Full” sticker or button (available by donation at the Fringe™ gates — see FriendRaisers info » and the Citizens and Builders Info ») to an ETS operator and you and a friend can ride home FREE anywhere in the city! Transfers will be provided on request.

Free Ride Home is available from bus stops on Whyte Avenue between 99th and 109 th Streets. When leaving the Fringe™ , transfers to connecting buses are also FREE!

EDMONTON RADIAL RAILWAY SOCIETY (ERRS) STREETCAR

Experience part of Edmonton's history on the High Level Bridge line. Ride a historic streetcar to and from the Fringe™ site.

Hours during the 2011 Fringe™ Festival:

From Grandin Station [109 St. & 100 Ave.] to Fringe™ Festival site [Gateway Blvd. & 84 Ave.]
11:20 AM to 10 PM [starts at 9:20 AM on Saturdays]

From Fringe™ Festival site to Grandin Station
11 AM to 9:40 PM [starts at 9 AM on Saturdays]
